October Weather Inspiration

I was feeling inspired by the October weather today.

I created a smokey eye using "Hustle" an Urban Decay shadow on my entire lid. Then I smoled out my outer corner using both "Rock" a NYX shadow and "Creep" another shadow from Urban Decay.

I used my" Smashbox" crease brush to smoke out my outer corner, and deposited the shadow on my lid with a full size shadow brush from "Urban Decay".

I highlighted my brows with "Halfbaked" from "Urban Decay" as well using their multi tasker brush.

I contoured my cheeks with "MAC" "Razin" blush and added a little "Hi Glow" bronzer from "Play Kosmetics".

Made my eyes pop even more with "Benefit" "They're Real" mascara

That's my October weather inspiration

Gentle Exfoliation

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is a great exfoliator gentle enough to use every day.

It helps un clog pores and picks up, dirt or make up left behind.

Fragrance free releases enzymes back into the skin maintaining a healthy glow.

This is a great product to use unless you have a skin condition and are taking prescription drugs per scribed by your Dermatologist.

You can also use this product as a mask pour a dab if the microfoliant in your hand with a few drops of water rub together until its in past form and apply to the face, neck, and decollete and leave on for about 10 mins and rinse with warm water.

Love this gentle exfoliating product

Banging Brows

When I sculpt brows through Zinc Oxide wax there are two products that I absolutely love while sculpting.

Damone Roberts is one of my favorite iconic make up artists and his products are amazing. I love his slant angle tweezers which I use while sculpting.

I'm also in love with Benefit's "Brow Zings" eyebrow powder which helps me shape a perfect brow.

Two favorite things I love to use to create banging brows

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Maybelline Fit Me foundation is the newest foundation from Maybelline cosmetics.

I had the oppurtunity to use the ptoduct on a recent shoot. I like the product for the simple fact that its able to pick up your skin pigment and duplicate it. Thats a hard thing to find within a drugstore cosmetic.

The Fit Me pressed powders, concealers and blushes are able to the same thing and are pretty long lasting and the concealers have sufficient coverage as the foundations.

The only downfall I think is that there isn't a wide variety of foundation shades only having a few darker shades.

I still believe in the product and I think you'll be satisfied with what it can do for you.

Supermodel Jessica White graces one of the Maybelline Fit foundations she looks gorgeous.

This product has been buzzed everywhere and was featured on Oprahs "Favorite Things"

You can purchase this product online at the Philosophy website or any ULTA,Sephora, Macy's, Nordstroms, Dillards.

There's hope for your skin.

Hot Red Lips

Hot red lips one of my favorite red lipsticks of the moment is the Divine Goddess lipstick from Napoleon Perdris.

The shade is "Aphrodite" this shade of red I believe will compliment anyone and as you know some red lipsticks cannot perform that duty.

This lipstick picks up the tone in your lips and creates a lovely red lip.

Remember to prime before you use your lipstick so that it can be more long lasting and won't feather throughout the day like Napoleon Perdris says "Not to prime is a crime"

You can purchase this Divine Goddess Lipstick at any ULTA Beauty, Dillards, Macy's, or Sephora.

Loves those red lips!

Mascara Buzz: Benefit They're Real

I've used a lot of mascaras, but none like Benefit's They're Real mascara I love this product because ii doesn't dry out like most mascaras whether they're drugstore or department store.

The brush its amazing it gives you the volume just like "Bad Gal" mascara from Benefit, but it gives you the length as well and the tip of the mascara wand allows you to feather out your lashes you'll love it saves you more steps when you're on the go.

Love those lashes and they're real!

Fave Post Shave Products For Men

When it comes to shaving they're two post shave products that I absolutely love.

Dermalogica invigorationg shave gel I love it because its less harsh and it conditions the skin without over drying it out.

After I shave I love using B&C Skin Tights after shave it diminishes the appearance of razor bumps within a few hours a must have.

You can purchase Dermalogica invigorating shave gel at any ULTA Beauty store. To purchase B&C Skin Tights check your local Beauty Supply store or check online.

"Day Smokey Eye"

I created a day smokey eye with shadows from the Urban Decay "Naked" Palette here are a few steps and the shadows I used so that you can recreate the look.

1. I applied "Greed" primer potion from Urban Decay

2. I applied "Darkhorse" shadow do my entire lid with the Urban Decay "Good Karma" brush you necessarily don't have to use this particular brush, but a full size shadow brush with a little firmness that can really deposit the shadow

3. I applied "Creep" shadow to my outer corner to create the smoke effect. remember not to apply to much dark shadow and blend outward

4. I highlighted my brows by applying "Smog" you can use a large shadow brush to achieve this dab the shadow starting from the iris which begins in front of your brow and blend outward

5. Last I highlighted my inner crease with "Half Baked" I love this because it makes your eyes look brighter. Dab a little in and blend inward.

Your day smokey eye has been created I will follow up with videos soon until then stay fabulous pretty ones!

Fall Trend Grey Nail Polish

Its fall ladies which means darker nail polishes are more appropriate

I'm currently trying "You Don't Know Jacques" from O.P.I. and I love it and I can assure you will love it too.

Its a matte creamy grey polish and when you add a top coat the color is beautiful. I think it can compliment any skin tone.

Enjoy those grey nails ladies

Brow Sculpting

Here are a few shots of brows that I personally sculpted. I fill the persons brows in with a hard angle brush and fill in the brow with brow powder and sculpt the brow the shape in which I think is most flattering. You can also fill in the brow the natural shape so that the brow can grow in that way if it hasn't already. Then I wax over that outline with Zinc Oxide sensitive wax and tweeze whatever hairs the wax didn't pick up. Last step I sanitize the brow and apply cooling gel. Here are the results below.

My favorite foundations for women of color

Here is a list of my favorite liquid foundations for women of color. Some you can pick up at a department store and some at your local drug store. The skin of women of color is tricky to match, but I think you will enjoy these.

Cover Girl in Natureluxe. I personally use "Brazilnut" and I love the coverage and its at a great price they have four shades that I know can match a woman of color.

CoverGirl Queen. A line completely dedicated to ethnic skin I love this foundation and the more you build the more coverage.

"China Doll" Napoleon Perdris. The coverage is amazing yet it still feels lightweight and it locks in place all day.

Smashbox. Comes in D1 and D2 not that much of a variety, but the coverage of these two foundations are great also available in cream to powder foundation.

Maybeline Fit. One of the newest foundations from Maybeline also in concealers the coverage is sufficient and it picks up undertones pretty well.
